About Me
My name is Sara Miller. My husband and I are the owners of Grins and Giggles Daycare. I have 17 years experience working with and caring for children. I am certified in First Aid and CPR. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and for the past four years I worked as a Behavioral Therapist with the Rochester Center for Autism in Minnesota. I have extensive behavior training as well as knowledge of hundreds of children's signs using American Sign Language (ASL). My husband and I, have three children of our own, Dillon (4) and Kayla (2) and Mia (1 month). I opened Grins and Giggles Daycare because my passion is to be with children and watch them grow. I can guarantee that your child will be nurtured and cared for as if they were my own.
My Philosophy
I believe that all children deserve love, and lots of attention. I believe that a safe environment allows children to express themselves, explore, learn and grow. At Grins and Giggles Daycare, I provide opportunities for children to have hands-on learning experiences fostering age appropriate development. We use positive reinforcement to encourage and develop self esteem, and positive behaviors. Each day we will engage in a variety of activities including reading, art, letter/number recognition, music, cooking, building, pretend play, making things grow and more. Children are most motivated to learn when it is fun, and that is why Grins and Giggles Daycare works so hard to plan a wide variety of fun and educational activities each day.
At Grins and Giggles Daycare, we have dress up days, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, outdoor play and exploration time, group activities and have many exciting things to play. Children learn best from experiencing the world around them. Grins and Giggles Daycare limits TV/movie watching by providing other fun and educational activities to engage in.
